Job summary

Apple Federal Credit Union in Fairfax, Virginia is seeking a Security Specialist to support physical security, access control, incident response, emergency management, and business continuity. Under supervision, you will monitor alarm systems, security cameras, perform audits, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience and a high school diploma, with some college preferred, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• High school education or GED. Some college preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in an efficient and effective manner.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand output data logic for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical security audits of facilities and inspections.
• Manage access control including badges and visitor monitoring.
• Assist with security investigations and incident reports.
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems and coordinate vendor service calls.
• Support development and maintenance of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Emergency Plans.
• Prepare security data reports and update management on trends and actions.
