Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Security & Compliance Analyst to support USSOUTHCOM J26 Enhanced Domain Awareness. You will implement and monitor security controls across cloud and on-premises environments, applying NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL-4/5 policies.

Strong IAM, SIEM, and risk assessment skills are required. Ideal candidates hold a cybersecurity-related degree or equivalent experience, with CISSP/CISM and AWS Security Specialty certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, CS or equivalent with 5+ years security experience.
• Experience in security audits and implementing security controls in cloud/hybrid envs.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL-4/5 risk assessments.
• Knowledge of IAM, SIEM, and vulnerability management processes.

Responsibilities

Job Description Position Summary Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Security & Compliance Analyst to support USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS task order. This role involves implementing, monitoring, and enforcing security policies, frameworks, and compliance controls across cloud-based and on-premises environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and enforce security policies, frameworks, and compliance controls across cloud-based and on-premises environments.
• Apply knowledge of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DoD IL-4/5 security policies, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Utilize strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), security monitoring tools such as Splunk and SIEM solutions, zero-trust architecture, and vulnerability assessment frameworks. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in security and compliance roles.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting security audits, assessing system compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, and implementing security controls in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Experience with security automation, endpoint protection, and incident response processes. Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
