Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited in Wisconsin is seeking a highly technical Security Commissioning Engineer based in Port Washington to lead enterprise access control and video management system commissioning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience programming, commissioning or troubleshooting enterprise security systems.
• Ability to lead technical execution with minimal oversight.
• Experience with enterprise access control platforms (LenelS2 OnGuard desirable).
• Familiarity with Genetec, CCURE, Milestone, Avigilon, AMAG, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

The leading electronic security integrator is continuing to grow their presence across Wisconsin and are looking to add a highly technical Security Commissioning Engineer to their team based in Port Washington, just north of Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

• Lead programming, commissioning and startup activities for enterprise access control and video management systems
• Act as the technical lead during project execution, ensuring commissioning activities are completed efficiently and correctly
• Support technicians and project teams with troubleshooting, issue resolution and system optimisation
• Review drawings, specifications, device schedules and sequences of operation to identify technical gaps before commissioning begins
• Coordinate point-to-point testing, functional testing, integrated systems testing and customer acceptance activities
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, database, networking and integration issues
• Maintain commissioning documentation, deficiency logs, redlines and turnover packages
• Work closely with project managers, field teams, manufacturers and customer stakeholders to keep projects on schedule
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers on programming standards, troubleshooting methods and commissioning best practices

Skills/Must have

• Approximately 7+ years of experience programming, commissioning or troubleshooting enterprise security systems
• Experience leading technical execution with minimal oversight
• Strong knowledge of enterprise access control systems, ideally LenelS2 OnGuard
• Experience with platforms such as Genetec, CCURE, Milestone, Avigilon, AMAG or similar systems
• Understanding of Mercury controller architecture and IP-based security environments
• Ability to support field teams and make independent technical decisions
• Previous experience within large-scale commercial, industrial, mission critical, healthcare, education or government projects is highly desirable
