Job summary

Render Security Engineering LLC is seeking a Technical Writer for a Navy program in California, MD, to support system-development, engineering, cybersecurity, and testing efforts. You will draft and refine manuals, SOPs, installation guides, and technical briefs, collaborating with engineers, cybersecurity experts, and program staff to ensure clarity and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to translate complex information into clear docs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience drafting, editing, and maintaining technical docs for complex systems.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint or similar repositories.

Responsibilities

• Research, draft, edit, format, and maintain technical documents (manuals, SOPs, guides, reports, test plans, etc.).
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, cybersecurity pros, logisticians and program personnel.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, accurate documentation for diverse audiences.
• Develop and maintain technical data packages, configuration-management docs, and system specs.
• Review docs for grammar, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with standards and client templates.
• Maintain document repositories, revision histories, baselines, and version-control.
