Job summary

RTX in Tucson seeks an experienced Logistics Specialist to support Shipping/Traffic for operations and engineering materials. You will prepare and process outbound shipping, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include organizing transportation, labeling, and tracking shipments, while maintaining records and handling hazardous materials. This is an onsite role requiring a valid security clearance on day 1.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with shipping and packing hazardous materials for domestic and international movement.
• US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Meet on time deliverables including program costs and scheduling requirements.
• Organize transportation activities, including managing information from origin to delivery and arranging services as necessary.
• Coordinate and certify shipments per 49 CFR, IATA, NISPOM, 32 CFR, AFMAN and Defense Transportation Regulations.
• Maintain traffic accountability records and oversee delivery of classified shipments.
• Prepare domestic and international shipping labels, hazardous declarations, bills of lading, and airway bills.
• Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
• Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
• Prioritize daily workloads and maintain quality throughout the shipment process.
• Communicate directly with internal and external customers.
• You will work 1st shift.
