Job summary

Sphinx Defense is seeking an Infrastructure Deployment Manager to build and maintain the infrastructure powering our software development environments across multiple sites. You will stand up production‑ready compute, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms to enable mission‑critical software delivery for national security programs.

You will bridge between infrastructure vendors and internal engineering teams, ensuring hardware is delivered, validated, configured, and ready for

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience administering enterprise IT infrastructure
• Experience building and managing multi‑rack server environments
• Hands‑on enterprise hardware deployment from delivery to deployment
• Experience configuring virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, KVM
• Experience with VLANs, switching, routing, and SAN/NAS storage
• Experience deploying infrastructure across multiple locations
• Collaborating with software, DevOps and infrastructure teams
• Documenting infrastructure standards and maintaining configurations
• Active Secret Security Clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience leading engineers in technical leadership roles

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and validate enterprise hardware deliveries
• Commission bare‑metal servers, storage, and networking into development environments
• Configure virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, KVM) and baseline infrastructure
• Deploy storage solutions (SAN/NAS), VLANs, OS, and networking services
• Maintain hardware configuration consistency across sites and subcontractors
• Collaborate with external integrators during procurement and testing
• Perform power‑on validation and infrastructure verification
• Build production‑ready environments for DevOps handoff
• Document deployment procedures and infrastructure standards
• Coordinate with cybersecurity for secure, reliable infrastructure
