Job summary

Sphinx Defense seeks an Infrastructure Deployment Manager to build and maintain production‑ready infrastructure powering our software development environments across multiple sites. You will stand up compute, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms enabling rapid, secure software delivery for national security programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing enterprise IT infrastructure, server environments, or data center operations.
• Experience building, configuring, and managing multi-rack server environments for software development or automated testing.
• Hands-on experience commissioning enterprise hardware from delivery through deployment.
• Experience configuring virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, KVM, or similar hypervisors.
• Experience with VLANs, switching, routing, and storage infrastructure (SAN/NAS).
• Experience deploying infrastructure across multiple locations or geographically distributed environments.
• Collaborating with software engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams throughout deployment lifecycle.
• Documenting infrastructure standards and maintaining consistent system configurations.
• Hold an active Secret Security Clearance; TS/SCI eligible.
• Experience with RMF/DoW accreditation for classified systems.
• Experience leading teams of engineers in technical/functional leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and validate enterprise hardware deliveries.
• Commission bare-metal servers, storage, and networking into development environments.
• Configure virtualization platforms and establish standardized baselines.
• Deploy and configure storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and foundational networking services.
• Maintain hardware config consistency across sites and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with external systems integrators during procurement, installation, and testing.
• Perform power-on validation and infrastructure verification before deployment.
• Build production-ready infrastructure for DevOps handover and automation.
• Document deployment procedures and infrastructure standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to maintain secure, scalable IT infra.
