Job summary

Serco Inc. in Tyler, Texas, is looking for an Engineering Tech responsible for assembling, wiring, and integrating automated turnstiles, high-speed gates, and access control systems at client sites.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, U.S. Citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 75% CONUS. You will perform installation of mechanical and electrical subassemblies and provide end-user training upon project completion.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years in physical security installation or related fields.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to travel up to 75% across CONUS.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

• Unpack, install, level, and anchor turnstiles and gates at client sites.
• Install conduit paths and connect control cabinets.
• Run, terminate, and dress low-voltage wiring per schematics.
• Wire peripheral devices like badge readers and biometric scanners.
• Test sensors and fail-safes; troubleshoot hardware/wiring issues.
• Complete field reports and document installations via mobile apps.
• Provide system walk-throughs and end-user training after completion.
