Job summary

Avalore.ai is seeking a Database Engineer to manage and optimize our database systems within the WDP data storage infrastructure. You will design schemas, implement backups, and ensure performance and reliability while collaborating with data engineers on pipelines.

You will implement security controls, monitor health, and contribute to HA/DR strategies, upgrades, and automation, while maintaining documentation and standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
Candidate must hold active security clearance or be eligible
Professional proficiency in English is required
Strong communication and self-starter mindset

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize database systems for data storage infrastructure.
Design and implement database schemas and data models.
Ensure database performance, reliability, and availability.
Establish backup, recovery, and security controls for databases.
Monitor health, capacity, and resource usage; troubleshoot issues.
Lead high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades, and automation tasks.
