Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks engineers, scientists, and developers to translate AI/ML, data science, and related technologies into mission impact for national security challenges. You will design prototype software that processes data from open web to knowledge graphs and communicate results to sponsors and leadership.

Qualifications

BS or BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience applying AI/ML, NLP, statistical analysis to real-world problems.
Experience developing reliable software (Python preferred) with sound practices.
Comfort working from loosely defined requirements.
Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hold an active TS/SCI level security clearance and U.S. citizenship eligibility.

Develop, evaluate, and improve technical approaches to AI/ML, data science, and related technologies.

Research and develop innovative AI techniques and technologies.
