Job summary

ZP group is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to build, support, and maintain secure computing environments used for operational missions. This contract-to-hire role is based in RTP, NC, and requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counter-Intelligence Polygraph.

The candidate will deploy, secure, and manage Windows, Linux, and Unix systems, support VMware vSphere virtualization, and ensure compliance with DIACAP, NISPOM, and ICD requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with DIACAP, NISPOM, and ICD compliance in contracts.
• Strong ability to deploy and troubleshoot secure networks.
• Experience with Windows and Linux across enterprise networks.
• Hands-on with routers, switches, firewalls and related infrastructure.
• CCNA-level knowledge or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS and Windows Server 2016/2019/10.
• Experience administering VMWare vSphere environments.
• DoD 8570-compliant certification such as CISSP, Security+ or similar.

Responsibilities

• Build, support, and maintain secure computing environments for operations.
• Deploy and administer Windows, Linux, and Unix systems.
• Support virtualization using VMWare vSphere in a data center.
• Ensure security to meet NISPOM, ICD, and DIACAP requirements.
• Assist SSP/POA&M documentation and system security planning.
• Configure and troubleshoot network functions in classified environments.
• Perform routine network administration of routers, switches, and firewalls.
