Job summary

ORBIS Inc. seeks a Computer Programmer to support maintenance and planning for overhaul and repair of equipment and systems on U.S. Navy Carriers and surface ships. Work is performed on board US Naval vessels located in San Diego, CA.

The role involves training sailors and technicians to operate and repair equipment, providing technical guidance in HM&E, C4I, and aviation systems, and helping ensure readiness during deployments.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in computer applications or related field or graduation from a two-year program.
• Four years of verifiable experience in computer applications, including programming with recognized and widely used languages, development of application programs, database, and telecommunications.
• Two years of experience in database concepts/development and programming languages such as Visual Basic, C++, Access, SQL and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance planning and overhaul support for Navy equipment and systems.
• Assist in training Ship's Force operators and maintenance technicians.
• Offer technical guidance on HM&E, C4I systems aboard aircraft carriers and surface ships.
• Work on board US Naval vessels located in San Diego, CA.
