Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong DevSecOps expertise to design, build, and operate a secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines powering mission-critical Army systems from Fort Belvoir, VA.

The role requires an active Secret clearance and onsite presence, with responsibilities spanning AWS, EKS, EC2, security controls, automated testing, and robust monitoring to ensure maximal uptime and performance across environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in DevOps/DevSecOps/Cloud/Systems Engineering with production experience
• Strong AWS experience with EKS/Kubernetes deployments and EC2 management
• CI/CD expertise with GitLab CI/CD
• Scripting in Python or Bash for automation
• Security mindset with SAST/DAST, container scanning, secret detection integrated into CI/CD
• Collaborative leadership and ability to mentor junior staff and interact with QA leads
• Active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD.
• Standardize deployment templates and workflows to boost velocity.
• Lead deployment and scaling of ERP testing tools (e.g., Tosca, qTest, NeoLoad).
• Manage and troubleshoot hybrid deployments; ensure interoperability of containerized services on EKS and apps on EC2.
• Scale AWS infrastructure: EKS, EC2, S3, RDS.
• Enforce strict cloud security controls including IAM, VPC security, least privilege.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting across EKS and EC2 for uptime of testing infra.
• Serve as a technical resource for environment-related failures and performance bottlenecks.
