Onyx Point, Inc. seeks an AIML1 Engineer to build, train, and evaluate advanced language models. The role involves NLP, full-stack development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable AI solutions. Active TS/SCI with full-scope polygraph is required for U.S. citizenship.

The candidate will deploy models on cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker) and contribute across the model lifecycle, with strong Java/C/C++ and Python skills and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on experience with state-of-the-art ML techniques for NLP.
• Experience with model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Experience in a government or defense-related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, train, and fine-tune language models.
• Evaluate and benchmark model performance.
• Deploy and scale models on cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker).
• Develop full-stack AI model-based applications (front-end and back-end).
• Collaborate with data scientists, product teams, and engineers; document workflows and specs.
