Job summary

Protection Strategies Incorporated is hiring a FBI Personnel Security Specialist II in Washington, DC to review investigation requests, process e‑QIP packets for federal and contractor employees, and initiate and manage background investigations through OPM.

The role requires a current Top Secret clearance, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with security investigations and data handling. This position supports FBI Security Program operations on-site in the DC area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field or Federal Law Enforcement, or an Associate's Degree with four years of experience in the same
• Current Top Secret security clearance
• Experience with database checks and credit reports
• Experience performing routine office administrative tasks
• Ability to critically review investigative materials for security vulnerabilities and viable leads
• Experience developing and writing Reports of Investigation for adjudication

Responsibilities

• Review investigation request documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Process e-QIP packets for federal and contractor employees
• Initiate paperwork for background investigations and forward to OPM
• Conduct and analyze interviews both internal and external
• Summarize data and compose correspondence for FBI Field Offices
• Coordinate with Field Offices for submission of investigation information
