Security Charter Screener Supervisor (PT) - LAX (Finance)

General Information

Job Title: Security Charter Screener Supervisor (PT) - LAX

Date: Monday, May 5, 2025

Location: Los Angeles, California

Base Pay Rate: $27.00/hour

Employment Type: Part Time

Position Status: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Flexible shifts Monday - Sunday, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Shift start time typically at 07:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at assigned sites.
• Screen visitors, couriers, and contractors before entry.
• Maintain visibility and presence during shifts.
• Train new employees.
• Assign daily tasks and schedules.
• Write clear, concise reports.
• Ensure proper uniform and appearance of staff.
• Conduct random security checks, including body scans, bag checks, and ETD checks.
• Inspect IDs and vehicle decals.
• Assign activities to security personnel and monitor task completion.
• Control access by verifying credentials and patrolling perimeter, parking lot, and building areas.
• Assist guests and employees with directions and inquiries.
• Manage gate operations, secure areas, and incoming traffic.
• Monitor security systems and alarms.
• Inventory and issue security equipment and keys.
• Respond to emergency alarms and incidents, notifying management as necessary.
• Document security-related inquiries and incidents.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• Must be a resident of California.
• Valid California Security Guard Card.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check (up to 10 years).
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Complete SIDA training if required for airport security.

Preferred Qualifications
