This position is the entry level of work involving the security and care of the residents at Potomac Center and SETT. This position is responsible for covering a routine security shift(s) as assigned-this is an evening shift position. During those shifts, this position will conduct security rounds of the facility checking the physical security of the facility, checking fire extinguishers and other safety equipment, and reporting any safety or security related defects or anomalies. This position will have access to security monitors and will be responsible for monitoring the security video during their watch. This position will respond to all codes to assist with resident and staff safety. This position will monitor the Center’s gate; monitoring access to the Center. This position is also on call to any emergency at the facility as necessary. This is an evening shift, 2pm-10:30pm, and work every other weekend.
Education: High School diploma or high school equivalency certificate acceptable to the Maryland State Board of Education as described in the Correctional Training Commission regulation.
