Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a Security Associate to support security and loss prevention within the Distribution Center. You will provide security services to managers and associates and help maintain a safe environment.

The role requires monitoring for shrink, investigating internal incidents, coordinating with third-party security, and assisting with audits. Expect a safety-sensitive environment with drug testing prior to employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience.
• Security Camera monitoring experience required.
• Basic Microsoft skills required (Outlook, Microsoft Office)

Responsibilities

• Loss prevention and shortage control programs, identifying all forms of loss and suggesting solutions.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors.
• Secure company warehouses, offices and assets against theft, vandalism, fire and unauthorized entry.
• Monitor and assist with tracking of product shortages.
• Investigate reports of known or suspected internal theft, violence or threats of violence.
• Oversee and assist in managing third-party security services.
• Conduct shrink compliance audits and drive improvement in shrink results.
• Develop rapport with agencies and coordinate investigations as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay range of $20.00 - $30.00 / hour plus incentives. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM

• This role involves a combination of prolonged sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift, including extended periods stationed in a security booth. A security uniform and safety toe shoes are required and must be worn at all times while working.

Overview

The Security Associate is responsible for assisting with security and loss prevention activities within the Distribution Center by supporting division objectives. Duties include, but not limited to, providing security services to managers and associates within the distribution center.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for loss prevention and shortage control programs, taking an active role in identifying all forms of loss, motivating shortage control involvement, and helping to identify shortage control solutions
• Provide a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors including the facility, as well as drivers and sales representatives
• Provide security for the company warehouse, offices, and general assets against theft, vandalism, fire, and illegal entry
• Utilizing a variety of methods, the security associate monitors and assists with the tracking of product shortages
• Responsible for investigating reports of known or suspected internal theft, violence or the threat of violence or other criminal acts of an associate
• Provide oversight and assistance in the management of third-party security services
• Conducting company shrink compliance audits in the distribution center and facilitating improvement of shrink results
• Develop and maintain a rapport with the various agencies as needed, coordinated investigations with internal or outside agencies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 yearof experience
