Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Security Assessor/Analyst Lead in McLean, VA to lead and support security and privacy control assessments for public-sector environments. The role involves technical leadership, evidence validation, and developing high-quality assessment documentation.

The candidate will mature assessment capabilities through standardized methodologies, automation, and team development, engaging with senior client stakeholders and translating complex issues into clear findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of professional security-related experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls and risk-based assessments.
• Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable findings.

Responsibilities

• Lead security and privacy control assessments in accordance with plans and client requirements.
• Supervise and direct teams of security assessors with QA and coaching.
• Plan, execute, and report across multiple systems and stakeholders.
• Review evidence to evaluate control design, implementation, and effectiveness.
• Communicate findings and remediation recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
