Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior SIEM Engineer to design and operate Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM/XDR and Cribl pipelines in a large, multi-tenant SOC. You will implement detection content, automate workflows and support 24x7 operations.

The role emphasizes building scalable security data pipelines, optimizing telemetry ingestion and collaborating with security architects to improve incident response and security posture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Title :Senior SIEM Engineer – Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM/XDR & Cribl

Position Overview

Work on enterprise-scale security engineering initiatives involving advanced SIEM and XDR platforms supporting multiple organizations within a large, multi-tenant security environment.

This role focuses on designing, implementing, administering and optimizing Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR platforms while supporting Cribl-based security data pipelines and 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) operations.

You will collaborate with security architects, engineers and SOC analysts to enhance detection and response capabilities, automate security workflows, improve telemetry ingestion and maintain reliable enterprise security operations.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, designing, deploying, administering and providing operational support for enterprise SIEM and XDR capabilities, primarily Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR.
• Manage multi-tenant onboarding, tenant-specific configurations, role-based access, data segregation, dashboards and reporting.
• Develop and optimize detection content, correlation rules, analytics, threat-hunting queries, watchlists, suppression logic and false-positive reduction.
• Support Cribl data modeling, log pipeline design, routing, parsing, normalization, enrichment, filtering, replay and ingestion.
• Onboard and monitor telemetry from cloud, endpoint, network, identity, SaaS and custom application sources.
• Optimize log volumes, retention, platform performance and costs while maintaining security and compliance requirements.
• Develop, test, deploy and maintain automated response workflows and complex playbooks for enrichment, triage, containment, escalation, notifications, case management and incident response.
• Build and maintain integrations with ticketing, case management, notification, identity, threat intelligence and other enterprise systems.
• Create and maintain operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, escalation matrices, troubleshooting guides, architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support to Tier 1 through Tier 3 SOC analysts and incident responders, including platform troubleshooting, detection tuning, threat hunting, technical escalations and knowledge transfer.
• Monitor and report on ingestion health, platform availability, alert volumes, detection coverage, false positives, service levels, mean time to detect and mean time to respond.
• Support high availability, resilience, backup, recovery, lifecycle management and controlled change processes for SIEM, XDR and supporting log pipeline services.
• Collaborate with security architects, engineers, analysts and stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives, industry-standard frameworks, regulatory requirements and organizational risk tolerance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or Information Security-related field; 8+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
• 5+ years of experience supporting large IT environments and/or system deployments.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, administering and providing operational support for Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR.
• Experience engineering and supporting SIEM capabilities in multi-tenant environments and 24x7 Security Operations Center operations.
• Experience with Cribl data modeling, log pipeline design, parsing, normalization, enrichment, routing and ingestion.
• Experience developing automation, integrations, playbooks and response workflows using scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Experience onboarding and troubleshooting telemetry from cloud, endpoint, network, identity, SaaS, Linux, Windows and custom application sources.
• Experience developing and tuning detections, correlation rules, analytics, threat-hunting queries, dashboards, reporting and alert suppression logic.
• Strong experience creating and managing complex playbooks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, incident response, networking, access control, secure system design and industry-standard cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience supporting Tier 1 through Tier 3 SOC analysts, threat hunting, incident response and 24x7 operational handoffs.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, Security+ or GIAC certification.
• Palo Alto Cortex, Cribl or other relevant SIEM/security platform certification.
