Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Systems & Information Security Engineer to manage cybersecurity systems and IT infrastructure. The role includes engineering security solutions, deploying servers and domain configurations, maintaining firewalls and VPNs, and supporting day-to-day operations.

The candidate should have 3–4 years in systems engineering or related roles, strong PowerShell skills, and experience with antivirus, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security like DLP or FIM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred.
  • 3–4 years’ experience as systems engineer, Windows system administrator, and/or network engineer.
  • 1–2 years’ experience as cyber security analyst or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell desired.
  • Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions (ie: DLP, FIM).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Communicate network security issues to peers and management.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Plan, research, and develop security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks and collaborate with developers to apply fixes.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Liaise with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution.
