A leading IT services provider is seeking a Security Analyst for a contract opportunity in Plano, TX. The successful candidate will manage vulnerability scanning solutions, investigate security vulnerabilities, and support relationships with internal business units. Ideal candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in security operations, strong communication skills, and knowledge in network traffic analysis. The assignment length is expected to be 7+ months, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience in security operations and/or incident response.
• Integrates working knowledge in vulnerability scanning.
• Ability to influence stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate vulnerability scanning solutions.
• Investigate the latest security vulnerabilities and incidents.
• Design and own dashboards for presenting data.

Skills

Experience in security operations and/or incident response

Knowledge of network traffic analysis

Knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPs, FTP, DNS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Windows, Unix, OSX, and Linux Operating Systems
