Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking an intern to work with the security department, mentored by experienced staff, to apply knowledge and grow technical skills. The role involves collaborating with a fast-paced team on real challenges and attending frequent mentor check-ins for progress updates.

Eligibility requires enrollment in an applicable degree program with at least one semester remaining post internship, GPA 3.0, and 3+ months of general work experience. On-site 12 weeks starting early 2027.

Attend frequent 1:1's with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be enrolled in an associates, bachelor's,master'sor doctorate degree program infield of criminal justice, national security, emergency management, or similar.and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0
• 3+ months of general work experience (internships or other personal/team project experience is applicable)

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

• GPA of 3.5 or above
• Military experience, active duty or reserves, or ROTC
• Experience in the aerospace or tech industry

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027

COMPENSATION AND OTHER BENEFITS

• Pay RangeVA: $22.00 USD Hourly
• You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize relocation costs

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state of Virginia's pay transparency requirements. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
