Job summary

Qualifications

• 4–7 years IT security experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Zscaler.
• Conduct IT security risk assessments and develop remediation strategies.
• Research vendor offerings and perform proof-of-concepts.
• Coordinate with other teams to implement new technologies.
• Monitor asset inventory, deployed agents, and device status.
• Review vulnerability dashboards and assess threat landscape impact.
• Draft policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for IT security.
• Monitor incident response queues and support remediation.
• Manage endpoint firewall operations and adjust configurations.
• Work independently and in a team environment.

Job Title: Security Analyst II

Location: Madison, WI

Contract length: 8 months

Schedule: 40 hrs; 7:45a to 4:30p Central

Pay: $34/hr to $38/hr, DOE

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for growing and operating the agency IT Security Program. The Security Analyst II is expected to be familiar with a wide variety of IT security concepts, practices, and technologies. The position serves as an expert resource and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This includes providing advanced analysis to manage the security design, implementation, monitoring, and incident response related to networks, servers, storage, applications, databases, and endpoints. The position will lead projects to implement new security controls and technologies. The position will also assist with the creation of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. This position may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Must Haves (4-7 yrs):

• IT Security experience
• CrowdStrike administration - expert knowledge

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• CISSP or equivalent - 1 year
