Job summary

Success Academy Charter Schools is seeking a Security Analyst to join our Information Security & Privacy team. You will be hands-on across security operations, endpoint protection, cloud security, data loss prevention, and privacy, partnering with the Technology Operations team on security change management.

The role is based in Manhattan, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite. You will report to the head of Security & Privacy in our Technology department, supporting 57 school

Qualifications

• 3+ years in information security within technology-driven organizations.
• Hands-on SIEM incident response experience and tooling.
• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon or similar endpoint protection.
• Expertise in Google Workspace security administration (Gmail, DLP, monitoring).
• Experience with advanced email security platforms (S/MIME, Mimecast, Proofpoint, Abnormal, etc.).
• Identity access management (Okta) expertise.
• Knowledge of AWS/GCP security controls and monitoring; Wiz familiarity.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, FERPA regulations.
• Hybrid onsite work in Manhattan (10005) Tue–Thu; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Incident Response: use SIEM to identify vulnerabilities, investigate alerts, and lead remediation.
• Email Security: build email compliance and DLP rules and counter phishing techniques.
• Security Operations: collaborate with IT, engineering, and business stakeholders to integrate security into workflows.
• Program Building: lead scalable processes for incident response, access management, vulnerability management, and DLP.
• Cloud Security: protect AWS and GCP environments and coordinate with cloud engineers to fix issues.
• Security Tooling: monitor trends, evaluate and vet new security tools.
