In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maturing governance maturity across the organization.

  • IS Security Analyst: $105,000 - $120,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

What You’ll Do
  • Governance Leadership: Lead IT governance initiatives and projects and provide expert guidance to ancillary projects and stakeholders.
  • Policy and Standard Development: Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards related to governance, risk management, and compliance. Ensure these documents are up-to-date, aligned with industry regulations, and communicated effectively across the organization.
  • Control Catalog and Risk Register: Lead in the development of a controls catalog and risk register that align to relevant industry frameworks.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization. Develop risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize risks to an acceptable level. Monitor and report on risk levels to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Implement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and strengthen overall governance maturity. Lead new projects and initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in governance, risk management, or compliance roles. This could include experience in information governance, risk management, audit, regulatory compliance, or related fields. Experience leading initiates with senior level stakeholders is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with technology governance, controls, risk assessment methodologies, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks. Well-rounded candidates with a strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity, data, cloud, infrastructure, architecture, and software development will excel.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze complex scenarios, assess risks, and recommend appropriate actions or solutions. The ability to interpret regulations, assess their impact on the organization, and implement compliant strategies.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities are key. This includes the ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
Preferred
  • Relevant industry certifications from organizations like ISC2, ISACA, SANS, or OCEG.
  • Governance background in highly regulated industries such as financial services.
  • Project leadership experience.
