Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a detail-oriented professional for a Government security operations role at Chantilly, VA. The position entails interfacing with government agencies and industrial partners to process personnel security information and grant access to programs.

The role requires 3+ years related experience, TS/SCI w/Poly clearance, and on-site work at the customer site. Strong data entry, Microsoft Office proficiency, and independent task management are

• Demonstrated customer service and telephone skills;

• Experience in security personnel processing related to background investigations;
• Knowledge of ICD 704 and E.O. 12968 guidelines.
• Exceptional customer skills;
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and develop/create innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interface between Government agencies and industrial organizations for obtaining, processing, verifying, and disseminating personnel security information and access to customer programs.
• Maintain accurate personnel data in all files.
• Update the customer database.
• Conduct an annual file audit.
• Maintain accuracy of customer’s database records, e.g., briefing and debriefing dates.
• Prepare, as directed, cases for expedited requests from PSO and/or PSM.
• Support security clearance reciprocity efforts for access to customer programs.
• Utilize multiple IC databases.
• Maintain confidentiality of assets and information pertaining to personnel security.
• Ability to elicit, articulate, and document information in a well-organized manner.
• Participates in special projects as required.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.20 - $36.80. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
