Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Security Alarm Service Technician to independently service and maintain intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems at commercial and industrial sites. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints and diagrams, complete reports on time, travel to job sites, and uphold safety standards while delivering professional customer service.

The role offers steady hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• L6, L5, C6, C5, E2, or E1 license required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsabilités

• Independently service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and perform corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes and customer requirements.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
