GardaWorld Security Services in Kansas City, KS seeks a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor screens, spot threats, and report incidents. You will patrol premises, control access, and coordinate with law enforcement when needed.

The position offers part-time shifts (Sat-Sun, 3rd shift 12a–8a or 1st shift 8a–4p) with a competitive wage of $18.04/hour, plus medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays, disability, life insurance, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a current/valid driver's license.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Documentation of High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to pass extensive screening.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Sharp visual activity and concentration.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.
• State license if required.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escape in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Set schedule: We have multiple shifts available
  • Shift 1: Part-Time, Saturday through Sunday, 3rd Shift, 12a.m. to 8 a.m.
  • Shift 2: Part-Time, Saturday through Sunday, 1st Shift, 8a.m. to 4p.m.

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats

Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises

Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors

Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions

Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications Of a Surveillance Security Guard

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a current/valid driver's license
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
