Job summary

The Westgate Hotel in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Agent to help provide a safe, welcoming environment for guests, team members and visitors. You will serve as a visible presence across the property, respond to incidents, assist guests, and help protect hotel assets while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will patrol floors and public areas, monitor cameras and access control, investigate incidents, write clear reports, enforce hotel policies, and coordinate with management

Qualifications

• Prior security or customer service experience preferred.
• Valid California Guard Card required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to stay calm in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, parking facilities, back-of-house areas, and hotel grounds.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, emergencies, accidents, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Investigate incidents and prepare accurate, detailed, and timely reports.
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a guest-focused approach.
• Assist guests, employees, and visitors with safety-related requests and concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted-access areas as needed.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity.
• Assist with emergency response procedures, evacuations, and crisis situations.
• Maintain key control, lost and found procedures, and other security-related programs.
• Coordinate with management and emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding hotel operations, guests, employees, and investigations.
• Support a culture of safety, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional guest service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Join our Security team and help provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, team members, and visitors. What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:

What We’re Looking For:

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods, often for much of a shift
• Patrolling multiple floors, stairwells, parking facilities, and outdoor areas throughout the property
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing stairs
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
