Key Responsibilities

  1. Administer U.S. government security policies and procedures as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).
  2. Oversee daily operations of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), including structural integrity, access management, and security education.
  3. Support clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and physical security, including alarm response for controlled areas.
  4. Make independent decisions, analyze problems, and provide solutions.
  5. Interact with internal/external customers and government security officials.
  6. Handle routine personnel security issues and prepare reports and briefings.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years in Industrial Security
  • Experience as CSSO or ACSSO
  • Knowledge of security databases (DISS, eQIP, PeopleSoft)
  • Understanding of NISPOM, DCIDs, ICDs, SCI, and government directives
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Completion of DSS Academy FSO or CSSO Training

  • Knowledge of Information, Physical, and COMSEC security disciplines

Additional Information

Applicants must be eligible for a security investigation and TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. The salary range is $69,400 to $158,000 annually. The position is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, with a flexible work model.
