Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a skilled Security Administrative Assistant II to support the industrial security program in Huntsville, AL. You may serve as a Security Generalist or FSO-adjacent role, contributing to CFR 32 Part 117 NISPOM compliance and incident response planning.

The role requires a Secret DoD clearance, 3+ years of related experience, and the ability to multi-task with strong communication and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must obtain certification of FSO Program Management Course for a possessing facility from the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) within six months of employment.
• Must have a minimum of a Secret level DoD security clearance
• Must be available for occasional overtime and/or on-call support
• Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage workload priorities to meet end-user deadlines. Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Must have excellent customer service, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills
• Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, exercise sound business judgment, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels in the organization
• Intermediate PC skills are necessary including use of MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Providing general support to the SRC industrial security program and assisting with DoD NISPOM requirements.
• Assist with administration of CFR 32 Part 117 NISPOM and SRC policies, standards, and procedures.
• Assist Facility Security Officer (FSO) and security leadership in implementing and managing SRC security program.
• Support Insider Threat and Enterprise Threat activities and document threats in SRC systems.
• Assist with personnel security actions including onboarding, offboarding, and related employment actions.
