Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for client sites in Massachusetts. No prior experience is required; training will be provided to newcomers entering the security industry.

The role involves monitoring premises, patrolling various locations, and delivering courteous customer service while enforcing site regulations and directives. A valid driver's license and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or willingness to complete GED within six months.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug test, background check).

Responsibilities

• Access Control: Manage admittance to client sites, screen visitors, and assist employees and guests.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous, respectful, and professional interactions reflecting on the client and security team.
• Monitoring: Observe entrances, exits, and remote access points; prevent unauthorized entry and direct disturbances calmly.
• Patrolling: Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for hazards, violations, or unsafe conditions.
• Incident Response: Protect evidence, set up barriers, and respond to emergencies.
• Reporting: Maintain logs, write reports, and communicate incidents to client representatives, management, or public safety authorities.
• Property Protection: Ensure property removal complies with client policies and standards.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks of similar scope as required by the site.
