Securitized Products Credit Analyst - ABS/RMBS

Location: Baltimore, MD

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities in the securitized products universe.
  • Recommend potential purchases and sales of securitized products securities to enhance portfolio performance.
  • Conduct fundamental sector, market, and security analysis, combining relative value and strategy considerations.
  • Analyze fundamentals in covered sectors, including underwriting standards, prepayment and default forecasting, and collateral market trends.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external parties to develop investment recommendations and sector theses.
Required Experience
  • Three or more years of direct investment experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining reports and data.
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting, derivatives markets, and computer skills.
  • Experience using Intex and Bloomberg.
Qualifications
  • College degree.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and risk management background.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Collaborative, inquisitive, and detail-oriented personality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some knowledge and experience in RMBS and ABS credit.
  • Advanced business degree is a plus.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst designation preferred.
  • Experience with data querying languages and tools.
  • Knowledge of Excel VBA and/or Python.
Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Range

$175,000.00 - $275,000.00 based on location and individual experience.
