BBVA in New York seeks a Securitization Origination Analyst to support originating, analyzing, structuring, pricing and executing securitization transactions. The role blends data analysis, modelling, document execution, credit evaluation and market research.

You will work with senior securitization leaders, coordinating with clients and internal teams to move transactions from mandate to close and to prepare pricing and client materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze collateral pools and asset performance; evaluate defaults, delinquencies, prepayments, recoveries, and losses; assist with cash-flow models.
  • Support design of capital structures including senior/subordinated tranches, reserve accounts, and credit enhancement.
  • Assist throughout the transaction process, coordinating with clients, lawyers, trustees, and internal teams; maintain timetables and closing deliverables.
  • Review loan- and portfolio-level data; identify collateral trends and concentrations; support due diligence and internal credit approvals.
  • Monitor ABS/MBS and broader markets; prepare pricing indications and comparisons.
  • Prepare pitch books, proposals, market updates, and presentations explaining financing alternatives.
  • Collaborate with securitization leadership, risk, legal, compliance and product teams to move transactions from mandate to close.

Job Description Summary

Support securitization team in originating, analyzing, structuring, pricing, and executing securitization transactions. The role combines data analysis and modelling, document execution, credit evaluation, capital-markets analysis, and preparation of client and internal materials.

Job Description
Key responsibilities:
  • Portfolio data analysis: Analyze collateral pools and historical asset performance; evaluate defaults, delinquencies, prepayments, recoveries, and losses; assist with cash-flow models covering waterfalls, tranching, credit enhancement, and stress scenarios across a variety of asset classes and industries.
  • Transaction structuring: Support the design of capital structures, including senior/subordinated tranches, reserve accounts, overcollateralization, excess spread, and other forms of credit enhancement.
  • Deal execution: Assist throughout the transaction process, coordinating with clients, lawyers, trustees, and internal teams. Maintain transaction timetables, data requests, documentation, and closing deliverables.
  • Credit & due diligence: Review loan-level and portfolio data, identify collateral trends and concentrations, perform stratification and vintage analysis, and support due diligence and internal credit-approval processes.
  • Capital-markets analysis: Monitor ABS/MBS and broader credit markets, comparable transactions, spreads, issuance volumes, investor demand, and pricing developments. Help prepare pricing indications and transaction comparisons.
  • Client materials: Prepare pitch books, transaction proposals, market updates, structural comparisons, and presentations explaining financing alternatives and economics.
  • Internal coordination: Work with senior leaders on the securitization team, risk, legal, compliance, and other product teams to move transactions from initial mandate through closing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 2+ years of experience

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $100,000 to $108,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
