Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management, through Brookfield Wealth Solutions, is seeking an analyst to support structuring and rating agency efforts in New York. The role focuses on private investments for an insurance balance sheet, with emphasis on CLO/ABS securitizations and asset-backed financings.

You will build cash flow models, assist in due diligence, prepare investment committee materials, and coordinate with tax, legal and accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with excellent academic record.
• 2–4 years of experience in reading/analyzing CLO/ABS securitizations and related asset-backed financings.
• Familiarity with rating agency processes and securitization methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, and Intex.

Responsibilities

• Support senior team members in structuring private investments for an insurance balance sheet, including analyses informing structural decisions.
• Participate in rating agency calls and track methodology changes affecting structures.
• Assist in exploring novel or bespoke structures for new and existing asset classes with senior deal leads.
• Draft, review, and markup transaction documentation (indentures, servicing agreements, purchase agreements) with legal counsel to reflect terms.
• Coordinate with internal tax, legal, and accounting teams to incorporate feedback into investment structures.
• Prepare investment committee memos and screening materials; monitor portfolio performance against underwriting assumptions.
