Job summary

The Office of Financial Regulation in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a Financial Control Analyst to join the Enforcement Bureau within the Consumer Finance division. This professional role requires thorough knowledge of financial regulations and robust analytical skills to examine and supervise financial institutions.

Successful candidates will conduct examinations, investigations, and write detailed reports, coordinating with senior management and external agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of professional examination and/or regulatory work experience relating to financial institutions or similar entities.
• Knowledge of mathematics and auditing principles.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and understand applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to conduct examinations or investigations of financial services companies.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations and complaint investigations related to financial institutions and services.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to management and legal staff.
• Schedule, plan, and write complex examination reports; act as Examiner-in-Charge.
• Liaise with other agencies to pursue enforcement actions and educate industry stakeholders.
• Participate in policy decisions and training to improve examination procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business or related

Master's degree in Finance/Business Administration/Economics/CPA/CFE/CAMS
