STRS Ohio seeks Securities Operations Specialist I or II to join the Finance Investments team in Columbus. You will process securities transactions, research corporate actions, and coordinate with brokers and custodians to ensure timely settlements.

Candidates typically have a HS diploma or higher with 1–5 years of investment processing experience, strong numerical skills, and proficiency with Excel and investment systems. STRS Ohio offers comprehensive benefits and an onsite work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field preferred (Grade 8N).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required (Grade 9N).
• One to three years of investment processing or related experience preferred (Grade 8N).

Responsibilities

• Research and process corporate action events for designated asset class coverage.
• Process daily investment transactions related to purchases and sells of bonds, stocks, alternative investments and real estate; include dividends, interest and principal.
• Enter activity into the investment management system and notify custodian banks of trade activity by deadlines.
• Review and complete daily position reconciliations and sign-off monthly portfolios.
• Back up team members during peak activity and absences.
