Interactive Brokers Group is seeking a Securities Lending Trader to join our stock loan desk. You will manage stock loan activity, resolve operational issues, and work with brokers and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely settlements.

The role emphasizes collaboration, process improvement, and system enhancement. You will shape risk controls and operational efficiency while engaging with trading systems and developers to enable new lending products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
• Excellent attention to detail and the drive to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily securities borrowing activity, manage recalls, and buy-in exposure risk.
• Investigate and track recalls to address securities shortages and failed deliveries.
• Gather locates for customer short sale requests.
• Assess IBKR borrowing needs and secure borrows to satisfy obligations.
• Reconcile stock loan contracts, investigate discrepancies, and assist with billing breaks.
• Build relationships with brokers across the street and with counterparties.
• Respond to inquiries from brokers and correspondent firms, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Identify risks and improve processes.

This is Hybrid role (4 days in office /1 day remote)

About your Team:

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Securities Lending Trader to join our stock loan desk, where precision, speed, and sound judgment converge daily. In this role, you will manage the full scope of stock loan activity, resolve operational discrepancies with agility, and partner closely with internal teams, broker-dealers, and correspondent firms to ensure every transaction settles accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and the drive to efficiently maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

• Strong computer skills and competency with MS Office products, particularly strength in Excel certainly valued
