Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to embed security across the Secure Software Development Lifecycle. You will work with product and engineering teams to drive threat modeling, secure design, and remediation within CI/CD pipelines.

You will triage findings from SAST/DAST/SCA/IAST and container security tools, and implement agentic AI solutions to improve triage and remediation efforts. Strong collaboration with DevOps, engineers, and infosec is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Product/Application Security experience
• Expertise in SSDLC, secure design, and secure coding practices
• Hands-on with SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST, and container security tools
• Experience implementing secure AI in software development
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Jira/ServiceNow, and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of cloud-native environments, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Clear communication across engineering, product, and infosec teams

The Product Security team integrates security practices into Akamai's development lifecycle, addressing vulnerabilities before production to ensure secure software delivery. Collaborating with product, engineering, and infosec teams, the team drives risk-based remediation and develops scalable processes. These efforts safeguard customers and the business while supporting the creation of reliable, innovative solutions.

This role involves collaborating with Akamai's product and engineering teams to strengthen our Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC). You will apply your expertise to threat modeling, triaging security findings, working on triage agents, and guiding remediation within CI/CD workflows. By embedding security at scale, you will help ensure our applications meet the highest standards of reliability and trustworthiness.

As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Integrating security practices into the SSDLC across multiple product teams

• Performing threat modeling, design reviews, and secure code reviews

• Bring relevant of hands‑on Product/Application Security experience

• Have proven expertise in SSDLC, secure design, and secure coding practices

• Be hands‑on with SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST, and container security tools

• Show expertise in secure AI implementation during software creation, developing and deploying agentic AI solutions for addressing security findings effectively.

• Possess working experience with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Jira/ServiceNow, and CI/CD pipelines

• Understand cloud‑native environments, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Communicate clearly across engineering, product, and infosec teams
