Job summary

rand* construction is seeking a dynamic Secure Facility Project Manager to lead SCIF, commercial interior and renovation projects in the Alexandria area. This role requires deep knowledge of TEMPEST and ICD/ICS 705 guidelines and entails managing project teams, budgets, and schedules.

You will act as the primary client contact, coordinate with security officers, and drive project success across our DC market and nationwide footprint. A four-year degree and proven judgment are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience as project manager on SCIF, commercial interior, retail, renovation projects
  • Success in SCIF construction; knowledge of TEMPEST requirements
  • Expertise in secure facility construction and experience with ICD/ICS 705 guidelines
  • A four year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience, or combination of work and education may be substituted
  • Proven track record of independent judgment and decision-making when faced with matters of confidential or non-routine nature
  • Mastery of all Procore modules, including Project Management and Financial Management tools
  • Mastery of Microsoft Project and the implications of schedule changes

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction lifecycle and serve as main client contact for project organization, implementation and completion
  • Provide oversight, training, and development of direct reports
  • Be a visible, integral team member in the DC market and nationwide footprint, supporting SCIF and interior projects
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, managers, consultants and security personnel
  • Ensure adherence to ICD/ICS 705 guidelines and secure facility requirements

What you’ll do:

The Project Manager is a key role—requiring technical and workflow expertise in overseeing the construction lifecycle. The Project Manager is the main point of client contact responsible for the project’s organization, implementation, and completion. This manager is responsible for oversight, training, and development of direct reports.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Possess good analytical and quantitative skills, and good understanding of contracts, financials, principles
  • Conduct job cost and cash flow analysis including the preparation of reports and budget management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
