Job summary

Markon, Inc. is seeking Acoustic Specialists to support Intelligence Community SCIFs and secure facilities. Selected candidates will perform acoustic testing, sound attenuation assessments, and remediation support in accordance with IC 705-1 and related requirements.

This pipeline leads to future openings for acoustic attenuation testing, design reviews, and remediation work in secure environments, with a focus on safe, compliant facilities and critical missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Physics, or related field required.
• 4+ years in acoustic testing or sound attenuation verification in secure facilities.
• Experience with IC 705-1 requirements and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct acoustic attenuation testing and sound isolation assessments for SCIFs and secure facilities.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot acoustic test equipment.
• Analyze test results and develop technical findings and recommendations.
• Provide remediation guidance for acoustic deficiencies.
• Review designs, drawings, and specs for new construction and renovations.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, security professionals, and construction teams.
• Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation.
• Support multiple assessments in a fast-paced environment.
