Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) seeks a Product Design Engineer to support state-of-the-art PCB layout for large multidisciplinary programs at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM.

The role focuses on secure embedded computing solutions, including layout, testing, and debugging, within a collaborative team. The candidate will work with PCB designers, firmware, and software engineers to deliver robust embedded systems for national security programs, requiring US citizenship and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Experience with printed circuit board layout.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Successful drug screening.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience.
• CID Certification.
• CID+ Certification.
• CPCD certification.
• Siemens layout tools (PADS/Expedition) experience.
• Experience with 18+ copper-layer PCBs.
• Experience with PCB layout, testing, and debugging for FPGA/high-speed/memory applications.
• High-speed routing (5+ Gb/s).
• DDR4/5 memory experience.
• 3 mil trace & space features.
• Active DOE Q clearance.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Layout of custom, state-of-the-art PCBs and PCB testing.
• Collaborate with PCB designers, firmware, and software engineers to deliver embedded computing solutions.
• Support design, development, test, and deployment of secure embedded computing solutions.
