Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Datacenter Engineer for a leading technology and cybersecurity organization located in Research Triangle Park, NC. This onsite role requires 5 days per week in a SCIF environment supporting secure government-focused infrastructure and an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

You will build, deploy, and support mission-critical networks and computing environments, manage VMware vSphere and Windows server ecosystems, and ensure compliance with DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
• Strong network and systems engineering background with experience supporting secure enterprise or datacenter environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and vulnerability remediation.
• DoD 8570 certification such as Security+, CISSP, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SSCP, GSLC, GSE, SCNA, or SCNP.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and support mission-essential networks and computing environments within secure datacenter infrastructures.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
• Administer and support VMware vSphere virtualization platforms, Windows/Linux systems, and enterprise services including web, email, and database technologies.
• Assist with compliance efforts including NISPOM and ICD requirements, accreditation activities, System Security Plans (SSPs), and POA&M documentation.
