Job summary

Archer is partnering with TekSynap to identify a highly skilled Data Center Engineer for AFNCR operations. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, classified and unclassified enterprise networks for high-assurance environments.

The candidate will manage Cisco switches, Nexus, F5 LTM/GTM, RSA Authentication Manager, and TACLANE devices, while applying STIGs and ensuring DR readiness. On-call support and coordination with DISA/26 NOS are expected.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field with 5+ years of network engineering in secure environments.
• Substitutions allowed: Master’s degree with 3 years experience or no degree with 10 years progressive experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT systems and networking infrastructure.
• Manage core data center hardware: switches, routers, and high-performance interfaces.
• Document rack layouts, port maps, and asset tracking databases.
• Operate Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, and F5 LTM/GTM for policy enforcement and MFA support.
• Configure Cisco Nexus switches and ensure high availability of applications.
• Maintain SNMP-based telemetry and IPTV multicast platforms over enterprise LAN.
• Deploy and support HAIPE encryption units for data-in-transit security.
• Implement DoD-compliant cybersecurity measures and maintain SOPs for data center ops.
• Coordinate with DoD units (26 NOS, DISA) for incident response and outages.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and routine system backups.
• Participate in on-call rotation for tier-3 escalations.
