Job summary

Akima is seeking a qualified IT professional to support the design, development, modernization, and sustainment of secure applications for the DoD OIG in a hybrid IT environment. The role emphasizes cloud-native/cloud-agnostic solutions, secure coding, and DevSecOps practices across Windows and multi-domain platforms.

The position requires a Secret clearance, a relevant degree, and 6–8 years of IT experience with CRM systems, Azure, and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6‑8 years IT experience.
• IAT Level II certification.
• Extensive experience with CRM systems.
• Experience with DefenseReady and DCATS.
• Azure, Microsoft 365, and secure coding practices in multi‑domain environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, modernization, and sustainment of secure applications across DoD OIG’s hybrid IT environments.
• Implement cloud-native and cloud-agnostic solutions, supporting application re-hosting, re-factoring, and re-architecting efforts as part of cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain secure, scalable code using Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and RMF standards.
• Perform unit and integration testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and contribute to the development of technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and database administrators to ensure seamless deployment and operational continuity.
