Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Secure Cloud Architect to design and govern end-to-end AWS environments for mission-critical data and AI-enabled retrieval systems. You will define the technical strategy across development, staging, and production while ensuring security, compliance, and operational readiness.

You will own the cloud ecosystem direction, including VPC topology, Bedrock integration, OpenSearch deployment, and adherence to availability, scalability, and cost controls, with IAM

Qualifications

• Experience designing end-to-end AWS architectures (VPC, subnets, routing, secure connectivity) for multi-environment deployments.
• Experience IAM least-privilege protections, policy governance, and role segmentation.
• Experience designing KMS key strategies and secrets lifecycle practices.
• Experience assessing cloud service integrations for security risks (Bedrock, OpenSearch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Experience producing architecture decision records and guiding teams through tradeoffs.
• Experience applying security controls and accreditation-aligned architectural patterns.
• Experience integrating logging, monitoring, and security events into cloud architectures.
• Ability to communicate complex architectural decisions with cross-functional teams.
• TS/SCI clearance and HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical strategy across development, staging, and production AWS environments while ensuring security, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Set direction for the cloud ecosystem, including VPC topology, Bedrock/OpenSearch patterns, and scalable, cost-conscious designs.
• Own the security control framework (IAM, KMS, secrets lifecycle, data access controls) for Bedrock/OpenSearch/app services.
• Collaborate with security, application, data, and reliability teams to maintain security and high performance across phases.
• Mentor future cloud security experts and guide architecture decisions across teams.
