Job summary

Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to join the Chantilly, VA cloud team. The role focuses on building secure AWS infrastructure, IaC pipelines, and cloud deployments for mission-critical workloads. Onsite in Chantilly with federal-security considerations.

You will work with COSMOS platform, collaborating with security and architecture teams to support IL-4/IL-5 workloads and ensure compliance while delivering scalable, automated cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical discipline or comparable experience.
• 2-5 years in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on AWS deployment and support experience.
• Experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, API Gateway, CloudWatch.
• IaC with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Git and modern source-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, configure, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain IaC using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and/or Terraform.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, provisioning, and deployments.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native/serverless apps using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, etc.
• Manage containerized workloads and supporting AWS infrastructure.
• Support cloud-hosted databases like RDS PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and IaC.
