MANTECH seeks an Application Developer in Chantilly, VA for full-time, on-site work. The role focuses on developing and enhancing existing applications and new features, with strong Java, web technologies, and Spring/REST skills. A TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance is required, and a robust benefits package accompanies the role.

The team emphasizes collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and adherence to DevOps practices for deployment across development, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience in information technology.
• Strong Java programming/development skills with hands-on experience.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and at least one modern front-end framework (preferably Angular).
• Experience with Spring Framework, RESTful services and SQL; ORM libraries such as Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with Git branching and merging within a team.

Responsibilities

• Designing, programming, and modifying software systems, applications, and tools, both existing and potentially new in the future.
• Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Collaborating with teammates, service providers, vendors, and users to develop new program features.
• Developing unit and integration tests and participating in functional/regression tests.
• Correcting errors and ensuring the program delivers the desired results; review help desk messages and troubleshoot production issues.
• Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback according to standards.
