The Sector Sales Specialist distributes the SPDR Select Sector ETFs, drives Sector fund adoption, and owns business results as part of the Sector ETF Sales Specialist team. The role involves partnering with our Client Coverage Group to drive engagement with Broker/Dealer clients in the Central US using Sector ETFs. The specialist will play a key role in growing our franchise and serve as an expert for Sector investing in their coverage region.

As a Sector Sales Specialist, You Will
  • Provide client-facing expertise supporting the Select Sector SPDR ETFs for SSGA’s Client Coverage Group in the Central US.
  • Educate clients on sector investing benefits via meetings, presentations, and industry panels.
  • Partner with the Markets Intelligence team to identify current and potential users of Sector ETFs.
  • Deliver thought leadership on Sector ETFs' role in portfolios and investment strategies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the SPDR Sector ETF range, industry trends, and product attributes.
Skills That Will Help You Succeed
  • Experience in sector investing sales, strategy, or portfolio management.
  • Ability to discuss sector investment concepts and portfolio management approaches.
  • Understanding of the liquidity and competitive advantages of Select Sector ETFs.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the assigned geographic territory.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of investment experience.
  • CIMA, CFA, or other professional designations preferred.
  • Securities licenses (Series 7 and Series 63) preferred or attainable.
  • Clean compliance and U4 record required.
  • Knowledge of equity markets, portfolio construction, and Sector investing.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with a team orientation.
  • Availability for 50-75% travel.

Salary Range

$130,000 - $205,000 annually. The range applies to the primary location; it may differ if working elsewhere.
